The union representing paramedics is accusing Ambulance Victoria of failing to fill shifts in Gippsland today.

Steve McGhie from the Ambulance Employees Association says stations at Warragul, Traralgon and Morwell are missing a two-person crew today.

He says a crew from Leongatha was despatched from Leongatha to pick up a patient at Yarram this morning.

Mr McGhie says patients needing an ambulance today could face delays.

"This is the minimum staffing requirement to provide the minimum ambulance service within the Gippsland region and the ambulance service has not filled the roster, so that means there's six ambulance paramedics that they haven't brought into duty today, so they haven't had anyone available to work or they've chosen not to fill the shifts," he said.
